What's built in today

• Semantic landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) and a skip-to-content link on every page.
• Visible keyboard focus states on every interactive control.
• A large-text toggle (the "A+" button in the header) that scales text sitewide.
• prefers-reduced-motion support that removes non-essential animation and smooth scrolling.
• Print-friendly layouts for lesson and doctrine pages.
• Alt text on meaningful images and icons; decorative icons are hidden from assistive technology.
• Labeled form controls (age-mode selector, search, planner checklist).
• Color choices intended to maintain readable contrast against the background.

Known gaps

We don't yet have narrated audio/transcripts for every lesson, or a dedicated low-bandwidth image-free mode (the site currently uses no photographic images, which helps bandwidth by default). A full automated + manual accessibility audit against WCAG 2.2 AA is still pending as the content library grows.

If you use assistive technology and hit a barrier anywhere on this site, please tell us the page and what happened — accessibility fixes are treated as a priority, not a backlog item.
