What is Sabbath School?
Sabbath School is the weekly Bible-study hour of the Seventh-day Adventist Church — usually Saturday morning, before the worship service. Small groups study the same Scripture passage everywhere on earth that week: a class in Nairobi and a class in Orlando open the same text, ask the same questions, and share the same mission offering.
It is not a lecture. A good Sabbath School class asks, discusses, disagrees kindly, prays for one another by name, and then goes out to serve. The world church sums up its purpose in four pillars: study of the Word, fellowship, community outreach, and world mission. Visitor or longtime member, seventeen or seventy — there is a place at the table.

O que é a Escola Sabatina?
A Escola Sabatina é a hora semanal de estudo da Bíblia da Igreja Adventista do Sétimo Dia — normalmente no sábado de manhã, antes do culto. Grupos pequenos estudam a mesma passagem bíblica no mundo inteiro na mesma semana: uma classe em São Paulo e uma classe em Orlando abrem o mesmo texto, fazem as mesmas perguntas e abraçam a mesma missão.
Não é um sermão. Uma boa classe de Escola Sabatina pergunta, discute, discorda com respeito, ora uns pelos outros pelo nome e depois sai para servir. A igreja mundial resume o propósito em quatro pilares: estudo da Palavra, comunhão, ação comunitária e missão mundial. Visitante ou membro antigo, dezessete ou setenta anos — há lugar à mesa.
